A good strategy is to introduce Trek Learning in a common class, allowing students to log in, explore, and ask questions before discussing appropriate use. Teachers assigning work through Trek Learning also helps with adoption.
Math teachers use Trek Learning as a homework companion or a flipped classroom tool. Recommended prompts include:
  • “Ask Trek to teach you about right triangles.”
  • “Ask Trek to explain the Pythagorean theorem.”
  • “Ask Trek to quiz you on the Pythagorean theorem.”
Students can also generate practice problems for self-quizzing.
Trek Learning is most commonly used for grades 6-12, but some schools use it as early as 3rd grade. It also includes text-to-speech for accessibility.
Middle and High school students adapt quickly, but the platform benefits all grade levels.
If your Trek tenancy has an integration bringing over your rosters and enrollments, best practice is to bring new users through your integration. If you don’t have an integration or have a user that cannot be added via integration (because they are not in your SIS for example) then use this short tutorial to add a new user.
Users may show in your Trek tenancy, but cannot log in until an admin has enabled them. Enabling users allows them to log in via Microsoft or Google SSO and/or a temporary password you set when enabling.
