# Trek Adventure

> Choose-your-own-adventure stories that adapt to each student and the topics you teach.

**Reading they won't put down.** In Trek Adventure, every student is the hero of their own story. They pick the genre, choose the book, and make the decisions that move the plot forward. Each story is written at the student's reading level and can be shaped around the vocabulary and topics you're teaching.

## Why students keep reading

> [card] They choose what happens
>
> At key moments, students pick what happens next. Their choices change the story, so no two adventures are the same.

> [card] It fits their reading level
>
> You set the starting level, from Kindergarten to Grade 10. Stories can sit on level, stay easy, or stretch students a little further.

> [card] It teaches what you teach
>
> Add your vocabulary list or grammar focus, or give stories a topic, like how photosynthesis works.

> [card] Quizzes are built in
>
> Short comprehension quizzes appear along the way. Students earn points and see their results right away.

> [card] Support for every reader
>
> Students can listen to each page read aloud and switch on a dyslexia-friendly font.

> [card] Safe by design
>
> Stories never include romance or violence. Teachers can also hide any genre they don't want in class.

## How it works for students

**1. Open Trek Adventure**

Log in to Trek Learning and click **Trek Adventure** in the left menu. If you're in more than one reading class, pick your class.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Don't see it? Your teacher needs to turn on Trek Adventure for your class first.

**2. Pick a genre**

Choose what you're in the mood for, like sci-fi or mystery, then click **Next**.

**3. Choose your book**

Trek writes three new books just for you. Don't like them? Click **Regenerate Shelf** for three more. When you find one you like, click **Choose this book**.

**4. Read and decide**

Read each page, then choose what happens next. Click the play button any time to hear the page read aloud.

**5. Take quick quizzes**

Every few pages, you'll get a short quiz about what you read. Then you'll see your answers and get right back to the story.

**6. Finish, then keep going**

When your story ends, continue the adventure with the same characters, or start a brand-new story.

> [!TIP]
>
> Need bigger, easier-to-read text? Go to **Settings** and turn on dyslexia-friendly fonts.

## Reading at home

Trek Adventure is also available as a family app for iPhone, iPad, and Android. Parents can add a profile for each child, set their reading level and story language, and see what they've read.

> [card] [Download for iPhone and iPad](https://apps.apple.com/us/app/trekadventure/id6761840467)
>
> Get TrekAdventure on the App Store.

> [card] [Download for Android](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.trekadventure.app)
>
> Get TrekAdventure on Google Play.

> [!NOTE]
>
> The family app uses its own account. Your child's school login won't work in it, and stories read at home don't show up in their teacher's reports. The app is free to download, with optional paid plans.
